Public Forum: Lithgow Housing Strategy

You are invited to discuss the current and potential future state of housing in the region with Emeritus Professor Peter Phibbs.

What are Lithgow’s housing possibilities for the future?

What role can government, developers, and the community sector play in ensuring Lithgow has homes that are fit for the future?

What could a Lithgow Housing Strategy look like?

This event will include a presentation followed by discussion and Q & A. A light supper will be served.

About the speaker:

Emeritus Professor Peter Phibbs is a geographer, planner and social economist with over thirty years’ experience in housing research. Previously he was the Professor of Urban and Regional Planning and Policy at the University of Sydney. He is now an Emeritus Professor and an Adjunct Professor at Monash University.

Peter’s recent housing research has been on the development of affordable housing strategies in Australia and the connections between planning systems and housing markets.

This event is being funded under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program which is an initiative of the Commonwealth Government - National             Recovery and Resilience Agency
