How can we end youth homelessness? A human rights perspective on why we should #MakeIt21?
Event description
Stepping Stone House wants to #EndYouthHomelessness. We provide holistic support and accommodation for young people who are at risk of homelessness. By providing safe and stable care, we help young people thrive.
Over 44,000 young people in Australia are at risk of homelessness.Â
We think this is outrageous.Â
We are calling on our community, our supporters and our governments to join us in the movement to #MakeIt21. No child should be kicked out of home on their 18th birthday.
Hear from a panel of thought leaders on how we can stop young people falling through the cracks.
Anne Hollonds, Children's Commissioner, Australian Human Rights Commission
Pam Barker, CEO, Y Foundations
Shen Wilson, Stepping Stone House Ambassador, and former resident.
Jason Juretic, CEO of Stepping Stone House and NSW Chair of Homestretch, the #MakeIt21 Campaign.
