How community gardens can help heal the planet -- Zooming live from Randwick Community Organic Garden
Event description
Join with us on zoom to see local food growing in action at Randwick Community Organic Garden (RCOG). Learn about:
- the benefits of community gardening to the health and welfare of people and the planetÂ
- reducing methane and capturing carbon via various composting methodsÂ
- producing all you need for plants and people, nitrogen capture, water cycling, nutrient capture, and nutrient cycling on-site in the form of food forests, or polyculture systems.Â
Our mission at RCOG is to inspire other groups to band together and grow the health of people and the planet, and we can't wait to share our beautiful community garden with you! Â
Just for Fun!
What vegetable or herb would you like to never buy again from the shops? Do a quick search online to see what conditions it needs to grow and see if you can find a suitable spot around your house. Come with your questions to the workshop this Sunday!
