Join us in conversation with Women with Disabilities Victoria (WDV) and Nicole Lee.

Experts, Women with Disabilities Victoria (WDV) help us to unpack Our Watch and WDV’s new resource Changing the Landscape: A National resource to prevent violence against women and girls with disabilities with guest speaker Nicole Lee.

  • What do we mean when we say ableist attitudes?
  • How do ableist attitudes intersect with gendered drivers of violence to create a society where women with disabilities experience extremely high rates of violence?
  • What can we do to Change the Landscape?

About Nicole Lee

Nicole Lee advocates for women and girls who have a disability or who rely on family members or carers for support and is a survivor of family violence. Among her many achievements Nicole is a writer for Women’s Agenda, a Board member of Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre and was a member of Victoria’s first Victim Survivors’ Advisory Council.

Nicole has been instrumental in shaping the way Victoria responds, and works to prevent Family Violence, and she continues to provide vital advocacy work through a range of public forums- including speaking at events just like this. We are very excited to welcome Nicole.
