    Event description

No surprise to learn engaged employees are less stressed, care more about their work and are more productive. And yet, only 23% of Australian workers report being engaged at work*.

What can organisations be doing differently?

Join Pete Canny, ODA member, to explore a framework for developing a culture of engagement which can be applied in teams and more broadly across organisations. Come along to learn about the keys to engagement - Clear Direction, Inclusion, Healthy Relationships, Ongoing Interaction and Support.

Pete has been working with teams and leaders for over 2 decades. Leadership is an evolving practice. New times, technology and generations invite different skills from those who lead. Through paying close attention to clients and their stories, he learns with them as they explore how good leaders think and behave in their context at this moment in time.

This way of working has informed the Culture of Engagement framework which Peter is introducing in this session. Book now!

    Our guest:

Pete Canny, Practice Lead, el camino, & ODA member

Pete works with teams and leaders in organisations to help them realise their qualities and practice them for the greater good. He is simply interested in understanding how people can relate easier together and be their best.

Leading and working with people can be complicated and relies on people finding their sincerity, care and foresight. Pete works with organisations, leaders & teams to help them focus on these qualities, prompting deeper thinking and reflection about how they practice them day to day. He has been doing this work for over two decades and continues to love his role as the Practice Leader of el camino.

Building on his degree in Adult Learning, Pete has sat at the feet of the likes of Peter Senge, Sir John Whitmore and Otto Scharmer in his pursuit of understanding the essence of how organisations can thrive.
