Description

The Changemaker Series: It Takes Courage to Change the Course

Join us at The Landing, North Sydney for a rare and intimate conversation with Jennifer Robinson - one of the world's most respected human rights lawyers and one of the most consequential legal voices of our time.

Jen has defended WikiLeaks and Julian Assange, acted for Amber Heard, secured political asylum for West Papuan leader Benny Wenda, and taken climate change to the International Court of Justice.

Her book How Many More Women? (co-authored with Dr Keio Yoshida) is now the feature documentary SILENCED - which premiered at Sundance in January 2026 and opens the Sydney Film Festival on 3 June.

Emma Alberici - award-winning journalist and former ABC Lateline host - will lead the conversation, as Jen unpacks silence, the law, and what it takes to change the systems designed to protect us.

Guests will enjoy a three-course lunch, audience Q&A, and the opportunity to meet Jen and have their book signed.

This event is the very first instalment of The Changemaker Series: It Takes Courage to Change the Course, in collaboration with Claxton Speakers International. Taking place in the final days of Domestic Violence Prevention Month, it is a timely, necessary conversation, with proceeds supporting Two Good's programs for women impacted by domestic violence and homelessness.
