Event description

Join us this Mental Health Awareness Month for a masterclass with workplace mental health and performance specialist, Jono Nicholas. We'll explore the psychological impact of the pandemic, and what organisations can do now to sustain their people’s safety, wellbeing and performance as we face new challenges in 2022 and beyond.

In this masterclass you’ll learn what to look out for and expect in workplaces as we emerge from COVID-19, and learn the actions you can take to best support the safety, wellbeing and performance of your people.

Thriving in this new world will require organisations to radically shift how they’re structured, who they hire, and the kinds of behaviours they recognise and reward. Providing a psychologically safe culture and fostering strong mental health and wellbeing in the workplace is a pathway to high performance, as is nurturing curiosity and growth in your people so they’re equipped to excel in the face of change.

What will this masterclass cover?

Drawing on research and 20+ years' experience in mental health, wellbeing and high performance psychology (including 10 years as CEO of ReachOut Australia), Jono will look at the challenges facing workplaces today, and share actionable guidance to help organisations cultivate mental health and wellbeing in their own workplaces.

The masterclass will explore:

  • the psychological stages of COVID-19 and the impact each one has on the way we approach our lives;
  • insights into the likely challenges to mental health that organisations can expect over the coming months;
  • the role that psychological safety plays in supporting people, leaders and organisations to thrive in VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) environments; and
  • practical steps leaders can take now to make their people feel safe, well and able to perform at their best.

    What can I expect from this masterclass?

    You'll come away from this masterclass with a deeper understanding of the value of workplace culture in shaping individual, team and organisational performance. At the end of the masterclass, you will have insights on what to look out for and expect in workplaces as we emerge from COVID-19, and know the actions you can take to best support the safety, wellbeing and performance of your people.

    Who is this masterclass for?

    This masterclass is for leaders and teams at all levels, and anyone wanting to sharpen their knowledge of today’s workplace through the lens of mental health and wellbeing.

    The content is not only suitable for managers - bring your whole team to ensure they’re empowered to play a part in your organisation’s journey to a post-COVID workplace.
