How To ACE HSC English Advanced for Finals - Paper 1 and Paper 2

3 days of intensive preparation online and live with Yang Sun on all 3 modules of the HSC course.

This course is suitable for Advanced English HSC students.


Over the three days you will cover:

Day One:

How To Ace Paper 1, Section 1

How To Ace the Common Module Essay

Day Two:

How To Ace Module A

How To Ace Module B

Day Three:

How To Ace Module C

For each module, we will cover how to maximise your marks under examination conditions, how to organise notes for each module, dissecting exemplar responses and you will engage in some practice writing with feedback provided.

After Day 1, you will have all the tools to ACE Paper 1.  After Days 2 and 3, you are armed with all you need to know to ACE Paper 2.

As an optional extra, students have the opportunity to write a response to each of the 5 sections and have this marked by Yang.  Yang will supply the questions after the 3-day course.

Online Sessions on Thursday 31st August, Sunday 3rd September and Monday 4th September 2023 - 2 hours per day 

Day 1 and Day 3: 4.30 pm - 6.30 pm

Day 2: 4 pm - 6 pm 

All sessions are recorded so if you are not able to make one or more of the sessions, we will send you the recording to watch in your own time preferably before the start of the next session. 



ABOUT Yang Sun

An outstanding, sought-after English Teacher with decades of experience. 

Yang is a senior English teacher at Marist College, Eastwood with more than ten years of teaching experience. 

She was part of the Moriah College English Department when they came 3rd in the state for English in 2017 and 9th in the state in 2018. Her students have consistently achieved Band 6s in the HSC Advanced and English Extension 1 courses. 

Previously, she has been an Assistant Head of English, Debating and Public Speaking Coordinator and the Literacy and Digital Coordinator. 

Yang is currently studying a Master degree in Creative Writing at the University of Sydney. 

In her spare time, she likes to research the field of educational psychology and develop resources on fostering metacognitive learners.

The knowledge she will share over this intensive course will inspire and give a huge advantage to Year 12's for their upcoming final HSC exams.
