How To ACE HSC English Standard for Finals- Paper 1
Event description
2 hours of intensive English preparation online and live with Yang Sun on Paper 1 only of the HSC exam.Â
This course is suitable for Advanced and Standard English HSC students.
Over the one day you will cover:
How To Ace Paper 1, Section 1
How To Ace the Common Module Essay
We will cover how to maximise your marks under examination conditions, how to organise notes for each of these 2Â sections, dissecting exemplar responses and you will engage in some practice writing with feedback provided.
After these 2 hours, you will have all the tools to ACE Paper 1. Â
As an optional extra, students have the opportunity to write a response to each of the 2 sections and have this marked by Yang. Yang will supply the questions after the 2-hour course.

The session will be recorded so you have the opportunity to use this recording as revision for the upcoming trial exam and as a valuable resource before HSC finals. We will send you the recording on request following the course.
ABOUTÂ Yang Sun
Yang is a senior English teacher at Marist College, Eastwood with more than ten years of teaching experience.Â
She was part of the Moriah College English Department when they came 3rd in the state for English in 2017 and 9th in the state in 2018. Her students have consistently achieved Band 6s in the HSC Advanced and English Extension 1 courses.Â
Previously, she has been an Assistant Head of English, Debating and Public Speaking Coordinator and the Literacy and Digital Coordinator.Â
Yang is currently studying a Master degree in Creative Writing at the University of Sydney.Â
In her spare time, she likes to research the field of educational psychology and develop resources on fostering metacognitive learners.Â
The knowledge she will share over this intensive course will inspire and give a huge advantage to Year 12's for their upcoming final HSC Paper 1 English exams. Â
