How To Ace Standard English Module A: Pygmalion

This is a 2-hour intensive online workshop designed for Year 12 Standard English students studying Pygmalion for Module A.

Module A requires students to demonstrate a strong understanding of how form shapes meaning. In this focused workshop, students will develop the analytical and essay-writing skills needed to produce clear, structured and high-scoring responses under examination conditions.

Yang will guide students through the significance of Shaw’s dramatic form and how it constructs meaning in Pygmalion. Students will learn how to move beyond plot summary and develop purposeful, textually grounded analysis that directly answers Module A questions.

Student Testimonial:

"This helped me so much! Yang explains everything perfectly and makes it easy to understand. After 2 days, I have already seen such an improvement!"

" Our session was not only engaging, but I actually felt like I was actively gaining the skills that I need to succeed."

Online Session:

Thursday 12 March – 4:30pm to 6:30pm

What the workshop will cover:

Students will explore how Shaw’s use of dramatic techniques, characterisation and social commentary shape meaning in the play. The workshop will unpack how to interpret Module A questions, construct strong thesis statements and integrate close analysis effectively. Yang will model high-scoring essay structures and provide strategies for planning and writing under timed conditions. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in guided practice and receive live feedback.
