How to be at peace - class series Nov/Dec 2025
Event description
Do you sometimes wonder whether peace is even possible?
Do you find yourself getting so overwhelmed by the relentless pace of modern life, and its seemingly endless stream of problems, that you’re losing hope of ever finding the happy and peaceful life you’re looking for?
It’s very common to become unhappy or discouraged when things don’t turn out the way we want or when we have to deal with problems we would rather avoid.
Fortunately, Buddha’s teachings give us every reason to be optimistic about the future. No matter what’s happened in the past, how difficult things are right now, or what we may encounter in the future, we can find the happy, peaceful life we’ve always wanted.
Buddha taught that the real source of happiness is inner peace and explained the methods to cultivate it.
In this series of classes, through contemplation and meditation, you’ll learn how to mix your mind with attitudes that naturally give rise to inner peace, and how to carry these attitudes with you into daily life. In this way, your mind will gradually become more peaceful, positive and calm and you’ll become a happier person.
Eventually, you’ll be able to remain happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances. With you own stable experience of inner peace and happiness, you’ll then be able to share this experience with your family, your friends and our world.
Everyone is welcome to join this final series of classes for 2025, and start cultivating mental habits that will enable you to be at peace now and in the future.
During this series of classes, you’ll learn:
Where peace and happiness can actually be found;
How to calm your normally busy and distracted mind;
How to identify and develop positive states of mind that naturally give rise to inner peace and happiness; and
How to carry these states of mind with you, so that you can be at peace throughout your life.
