    Event description

August and September theme of the month - How to Be Healthy in a World Where So Many Profit From Illness

After two months of discussing health, how to attain and maintain it in a world that benefits from us being unwell, we'll bring some of our favourite speakers together for an epic ROUND TABLE webinar and LIVE Q&A event.

What’s more important than our health? Is there anything? Our community is growing, our understanding of real wellness and wellbeing is also growing, and it is absolutely possible to thrive in a world that profits from illnesses. Join us on Wednesday 27th September at 8PM AEST for a webinar and live Q&A (hosted by Robyn Chuter) with 5 experts in their fields, bring your curiosity and your questions and be part of the conversation!

HOST - Robyn Chuter - Is a university-qualified health practitioner, with a Bachelor of Health Science (and the Dean's Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement) from the University of New England, a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) with First Class Honours from Edith Cowan University, and a Diploma of Naturopathy from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies.

Robyn is also an Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, and proud to be a Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. In addition, she holds a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, and Level 3 EFT Practitioner and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner accreditations.

Robyn started her naturopathic practice in 1995, and quickly developed an interest in chronic, medically 'incurable' health problems such as IBS, CFS, migraine, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. Helping people recover their health after years of suffering from illnesses such as these, is Robyn's second-greatest source of satisfaction (after her marriage and two beautiful children!)

Monica Witsch - Is trained in Naturopathy, Aromatherapy, Food science and Nutrition, holding a Masters in Food Chemistry (Germany), Postgrad Dip Food Science and Technology (Curtin University), Dip in Aromatherapy, Adv. Dip in Naturopathy, and postgraduate training in many different holistic medicine modalities. During her work as a food scientist researching and developing functional foods - foods with a health benefit - she started studying natural therapies to help her with her own health challenges. As a family health coach, she helps families and sensitive souls to shine their light by finding more self-awareness, clarity and direction in their lives. Using an intuitive and holistic approach, she integrates a variety of holistic healing tools tailored to each person and situation. She offers 1:1 sessions, small circles and online support for people seeking personal growth, more ease and joy.

Jude Blereau - As a pioneer, leader and respected authority in the wholefoods industry, Jude has been teaching naturopaths, nutritionists, doctors and food coaches, and the general public, for over 28 years now. She has written five bestselling and award-winning cookbooks on the subject. Amidst the plethora of confusing food and dietary information that surrounds the issue of wholesome, nourishing and healthy food, ethicality and sustainability, this is what she has found to be true.

Jude's philosophy is simple -"the foods that nourish our earthly body, allowing it to thrive are those grown in healthy, fertile soils, fields and waters that make up our earth. We thrive eating foods closer to their natural state that honour the principles and cycles of nature and are prepared so they are optimally digestible and delicious. We do not thrive on those that are refined, created in factories or laboratories where fake is swapped for real. The foods that allow our soul to thrive are love, belonging and connection. Joy and deliciousness are nutrients in their own right."

Dr Alex Siegwart - With deep family roots in natural medicine, Alex uses a variety of techniques to help find natural health solutions through Spinal Mobilisation, Applied Kinesiology and Nutritional Medicine. With over 15 years of clinical experience as a chiropractor, Alex has worked alongside Medical Doctors, Naturopaths, Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Acupuncturists and Massage therapists. He also has a keen interest in Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis and Toxicity Testing and recently opened a multi modality clinic where he cares for his clients in a truly collaborative nature - putting the client's health journey at front and centre.

"The greatest fulfilment in my work is seeing you improve and realise your potential!"

Dr Catherine Fyans - Is a retired medical practitioner with a long standing interest in ‘mind-body’ medicine.

Dr Fyans believes in the primacy of the mind and consciousness in relation to physical and psychological health, as well as all other aspects of life. She has a particular interest in the effects of unresolved, particularly childhood, adverse events on adult health and wellbeing. While traditionally trained in Western medicine (under the umbrella of which she worked for over 40 years), her interests led her to also study a number of other, non-allopathic, healing practices. By having a foot in both worlds, Dr Fyans has gained valuable insights into the spectrum of heath care practices and health care consumer demands.

Dr Fyans retired from traditional medical practice in 2021 and now practices as a mind-body (‘conscious health’) consultant and trauma therapist using the TRTP (The Richards Trauma Process) methodology. Dr. Fyans enjoys public speaking to share her knowledge and is a keen writer and the author of ‘The Wounding of Health Care’. She believes that education is key in helping people to manage their own health.

Dr Peter DingleHas spent the past 35 years as a researcher, educator, communicator and author and was formerly an Associate Professor in Health and The Environment at Murdoch University. Dr Dingle has more than 100 scientific articles, hundreds of public essays and 17 best selling books on health including Take control and realise your potential and his 3 latest books “Gut Secrets”, “Ready Set Gut Health”, and “Overcoming Illness”. His straight shooter, tongue in cheek humour and personality challenge our wellness paradigms, and address the dangers of being complacent when it comes to our health. He presents cutting-edge research findings in an accessible, down-to-earth manner—that will leave you pondering for days and inspired to take the next steps in your health journey.

Everyone who registers for this event will receive the recording once ready for distribution.
