The Cup That Counts Good Coffee Month Campaign
Good Coffee is our annual initiative to raise funds and awareness for a better, fairer coffee industry. One that works for everyone along the supply chain. Supported by our community of cafes, roasters, and everyday coffee drinkers, Good Coffee brings people together to fund real projects with real impact. Most years, these are in support of our long-term partners, Zukuka Bora in Uganda. Each campaign focuses on a specific project, such as building washing stations, purchasing land, or developing local infrastructure. These investments help producers grow their businesses, strengthen their communities, and share in the value of specialty coffee. This October, we’re aiming to raise $15,000 to help build Zukuka Bora’s new Bukhanakwa Outpost. A permanent home for coffee buying, processing, and community impact in one of the most important regions they work in. Zukuka Bora has been operating in Bukhanakwa for years using borrowed land and makeshift setups. It’s worked well enough, but now it’s time to go from temporary to permanent. With their own land and infrastructure, Zukuka Bora can improve processing quality with proper tanks, sorting tables, and storage, and handle larger volumes of coffee each harvest. Most importantly they will put down roots in a community they’ve backed from day one.
