Event description

How to Have Emotionally Intelligent Relationships

In this workshop we will discuss how emotional intelligence can support positive relationships in our families and communities.

Research shows that families with higher emotional intelligence experience more satisfying relationships, lower conflict, and stronger emotional bonds.

In fact, studies have found that children of emotionally intelligent people are better able to regulate their own emotions, leading to healthier communication and more resilient family dynamics.

In this practical and engaging course, you'll explore how emotional intelligence can transform the way you relate to those closest to you. Whether you're a parent, partner, sibling, or caregiver, you'll gain tools to show up more intentionally, connect more deeply, and respond more calmly—even when emotions run high.

The workshop will be delivered by Peter and Linda Watson from Impact Facilitation. Peter and Linda both have long careers in the community services sector.
