How to create a Good Food revolution in Bristol?
Event description
Professor Kevin Morgan has spent more than twenty years studying the Good Food movement internationally – assessing the impact of policies which seek to develop a fair, healthy and sustainable food system. In the 2010s, Kevin chaired Bristol's Food Policy Council, a precursor to Bristol's Good Food Partnership.
His latest book, “Serving the Public: The good food revolution in schools, hospitals and prisons” (Manchester University Press), explores government attitudes to food around the world, highlighting public bodies that are endeavouring to serve good food “against the odds”.
Professor Morgan will return to Bristol to explore how we might create a Good Food Revolution in the city. He will be joined by a panel of local food experts for the discussion, followed by an audience Q&A:
Ruth Galpine, Soil Association; Glynn Owen, Whitehall Primary School; Amy Morgan, University of Bristol; Humphrey Lloyd, Three Hares Market Garden; moderated by Heloise Balme, Bristol Food Network
