How to create and submit a council planning proposal

This training course has been developed for council users responsible for preparing and submitting a council‑initiated planning proposal.

The session provides a step‑by‑step overview of how to create a new planning proposal in the NSW Planning Portal, including entering required information, uploading supporting documentation, and preparing the proposal for submission.

Participants will learn how to navigate the planning proposal form, complete mandatory fields, and understand key submission requirements. The training also outlines how to review and update proposal details prior to submission.

Note: This session does not provide an overview of the NSW Planning Portal dashboard. This training is for council staff only.
