Webinar: How to Create Great Content: Digital Storytelling for Better Neighbourhoods

Can road safety really be on TikTok? Can Instagram be a tool we use to help redesign our cities? The digital media ecosystem is changing, and there’s been a rise in a range of educational topics, including urban design to transport topics. Excitingly, if done well there’s also a huge audience for this type of content.

The workshop hosted by Dr Julian O’Shea, an academic, transport expert and social media creator, who has been named the YouTube Breakout Creator of the Year and selected for the Skip Ahead program funded by Screen Australia. And Lucinda Hartley, an urbanist, keynote speaker and entrepreneur named as one of Australia's 100 Most Influential Women by the Australian Financial Review.

This webinar is designed to empower you to create video content to share your ideas on all things urban. You’ll learn the basics of how to create great stories, filming and editing tips, with plenty of time to get out and about and create your own video. We will also share case studies and key findings from the 100 to Zero project, a digital storytelling campaign designed to improve awareness of road safety in 100 second videos or less.

This webinar will be recorded and made freely available on the 100 to Zero Project website (100tozero.org). This webinar is open to all, but is particularly targeted at those interested and involved in road safety, including policy, education, advocacy and design. The link will be sent out to registered participants one day in advance of the event.
