Crime Fiction author Patricia Wolf walks you through the steps of conceptualising a crime series, from developing a series arc to long-term character development, world building and how to create tension over multiple instalments. Think about what comes next for your characters and world, and make a start on your series outline.

You’ll also learn and/or get a refresher on the basics of writing engaging crime fiction.

Format

This is an online workshop with a focus on writing craft; it will be hosted via Zoom. This workshop is suitable for crime fiction writers of all levels and writing backgrounds.

About Patricia

Patricia Wolf is the author of best-selling Australian crime novels Outback, Paradise and Opal. A journalist for almost twenty years, Patricia has been a regular contributor to newspapers including The Guardian, The Financial Times and the Daily Telegraph. She was formerly a design columnist at The Independent, and the Lisbon correspondent for Monocle magazine. Patricia grew up in outback Queensland, in the mining town of Mount Isa, and now lives in Berlin.
