If you’re choosing what to study, looking for your first graduate role, or helping your child think through their options, you may be asking the same question. With AI changing the work graduates are hired to do, what’s worth learning now?

Join Maya Sonji for an interactive workshop for young adults, students and parents. Together, we’ll look at what Australian employment data can tell us about where graduates are feeling pressure and what that means for the choices ahead.

Through practical scenarios, you’ll explore how to describe what you bring to a role, build a portfolio that shows what you can do, and recognise when a situation calls for empathy and judgement. There’ll be time for questions, and you’ll leave with one concrete step you can take towards your next career move or discuss as a family.

About the Presenter: Maya has spent more than 18 years shaping minds in higher education, delivering across business programs at Western Sydney University, ACAP University College, and the University of Technology Sydney alongside UTSC. A specialist in concept delivery, academic writing, and curriculum design and development, she brings academic rigour and real-world edge to everything she builds.

But the classroom is only part of the story. Maya has founded and grown several businesses — including Sonji Productions, which launched in 2004 as a graphic design and marketing consultancy and has since grown into publishing and content writing.

Maya is a published author whose urban fantasy includes The Nara Series, featuring 'Droplet of Fire' and 'War of the Ancient Future', alongside The Little Chikki Chihuahua, a seven-book children's series. Her work spans fiction, children's books, and mindset with an upcoming teenage self-help due to be released in early 2027.
