How to Get Women Elected Forum

Event description

Join this FREE workshop run by Australian Local Government Women's Association NSW, to Encourage, Inform, and Support Women to Stand for Election across the State in Local Government.

Morning tea will be provided.

Across NSW women support their communities in so many ways. From running school P&C’s, building and expanding local businesses, overseeing local sports competitions and community campaigns to co-ordinating drought and bushfire relief for neighbours and local businesses. These leadership skills are highly transferable to local government where your skills can help your entire community.

ALGWA NSW is conducting Getting Women Elected Forums across the state to support you and provide the information you need to stand in the NSW Local Government elections, which are scheduled for 4th September 2021.

Following the last NSW Local Government elections in 2016, we still have less than a third of female councillors across the State. NSW has the second lowest number of female councillors nationally, after South Australia.

Registrations are essential!
