How to: Have a World Without Waste – with Prof Veena Sahajwalla
Thursday, 30 June 2022
Where we see a garbage dump, "recycling revolutionary” Professor Veena Sahajwalla sees a mountain of resources. The 2022 NSW Australian of the Year created technology that uses tyres in steel making as a replacement for coke and coal. Her various MICROfactorie® technologies transform discarded plastics, textiles and glass into ceramics like kitchen benches, splashbacks and light pendants, and e-waste plastic into filament for 3D printing.
Veena’s world is one without single-use products destined for landfill. Learn how we can create a world without waste...
