How To Help Your Anxious Teen
Event description
Do you have a teen or tween that gets very rigid and black or white in their thinking?
Does your child avoid new challenges or anything that seems hard?
Does your teen or preteen attempt to be perfect while avoiding failure and mistakes?
If any of these things are true, your child is likely dealing with an anxiety problem. Anxiety is the most common mental health problem for teens and adults in the US, affecting nearly 1 out of 3 of us. The longer this issue goes unaddressed, the harder it is to treat.
Anxiety is one of those issues that’s easy to mask and as a result, often gets missed until it’s too late. Whether you have a child who’s struggling with debilitating anxiety or you just want to stay ahead of it and focus on prevention, you’ll find this workshop enlightening and helpful.
In this webinar, you'll learn:
- How anxiety, worry and physical discomfort work together to keep your child from embracing new challenges and opportunities.
- Ways you inadvertently may be enabling your child's anxiety.
- Specific approaches and strategies to help you and your teen or preteen overcome anxiety and open up to new possibilities and experiences.
- That you’re not alone in your concerns and struggles. So many of us are going through the similar challenges with our kids!
- I'll also be answering some of your questions.
This webinar will be recorded and sent out to you, so you'll be able to use it as a resource through September.
This will take place over Zoom. The recorded version of this webinar will be 45 minutes. The final 15 minutes will be a Q&A and discussion with those who are there. I want to hear your dilemmas and answer some of your questions.
I hope you'll join me on the 4th!
