How to keep your house cool with shading

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This event is organised by Renew's Sydney Branch, and kindly supported by Inner West Council.

Come to learn the benefits of adding shading to your house -whether it be external blinds, awnings, eaves or even planting trees.

Using results from a now-closed CSIRO & Sustainability Victoria research department, our presentation will provide an unbiased view of how to tackle thermal gains and losses and what solution types are most suited to combat thermal gains and losses as well as adding value to each project.

We will also:

  • Describe all the types of external shading that are available to use and the pros and cons of each.
  • Give a brief rundown of awning & blind types/styles/variants that are available in Australia, their availability and general price point for each.
  • Provide product information and help with how to specify the best awning for your project.
  • Field any shade based questions.

Be available for ongoing shade questions & advice

Please arrive for a 6pm start.
