Event description

All this talk about entrepreneurship is inspiring, but also mind-bogglingly overwhelming for many students who are unsure of who they are, let alone how to create a billion dollar tech company by the time they leave high school. Has becoming an entrepreneur become the new doctor, lawyer or engineer?

Thankfully, the growth of the startup ecosystem has created a wealth of interesting and evolving employment opportunities for young people, not limited to the creation of their own game-changing innovation. The lean, dynamic and tech-centric nature of most start-up ventures breeds a perfect environment for young people with little to lose, a hunger to learn and a desire to change the world.

This session is for careers advisors, VET coordinators and innovation leaders who are looking to learn more about the startup ecosystem and it’s employment pathways, to help their students navigate this space.

Join our epic line-up of leaders on the front line of recruitment in Australia’s start-up ecosystem as they share their lessons learnt of how to find rather than create a start-up as a young person.

Run by Purposeful as part of Spark Festival 2020 for educators and high school students.Β
