✈️ Free Workshop: How to Move Abroad as an American — Especially If You Feel Marginalized
Event description
Are you searching for how to leave the U.S. because you no longer feel safe as a marginalized person under the current administration? You’re not alone — and I’ve been exactly where you are.
I’m a therapist and financial empowerment coach who left the U.S. in 2018 during Trump’s presidency. Since then, I’ve built a life abroad, traveling across Australia and other countries while working remotely. As a first-gen daughter of immigrants, I never imagined this was possible for me. I didn’t know where to start — and that’s why I’m hosting this free online workshop.
🌍 What You’ll Learn in This Workshop
This session is designed to help you explore how to move abroad with little or no money, especially if you’re navigating systemic barriers. I’ll share the travel hacks, visa strategies, and budget-friendly relocation tips I’ve learned over the years.
We’ll cover:
How to move abroad on a budget
Visa options for U.S. citizens and other passport holders
How to become a digital nomad or work remotely
Ways to make money online while living or traveling abroad
Tips for temporary moves and/or gaining permanent residency
Emotional and financial tools to support your transition
💬 Why This Workshop Matters
As a therapist who specializes in mental health support for womxn of color and daughters of immigrants, I understand how heavy the current political climate can feel. Many of my clients are deeply impacted by systemic oppression — and many would thrive if their environment could shift.
As a financial empowerment coach, I also know how closely financial anxiety is tied to our mental health. Learning how to increase your income, build wealth, and create mobility can be a powerful act of healing.
🌐 Who This Is For
This workshop is especially for:
Womxn of color seeking safer, more affirming spaces abroad
First-gen daughters of immigrants exploring the traveler life
Marginalized folks ,including LGBTQ+ individuals, curious about remote work and relocation
Anyone feeling stuck and like their budget is too tight to travel, but is ready to explore global options
While I have the privilege to hold a U.S. passport, I am also the daughter of formerly undocumented Mexican immigrant parents, and I want to help the undocu community explore their options as well. I’ll also share insights for those with passports from other countries who are seeking international relocation resources.
