How to perform a preliminary review and assessment of a planning proposal
Description
This course has been developed for council users who review and assess planning proposals submitted by proponents.
The training provides an overview of the planning proposal assessment workflow, including how to complete the initial completeness check, capture fee payment information, and undertake a preliminary review.
Participants will learn how to manage assessment tasks using the actions menu, such as re‑assigning proposals, requesting additional information, and progressing proposals through key assessment stages. The session also covers the strategic planning assessment and the steps required to finalise and submit assessment outcomes.
Note: This session does not provide an overview of the NSW Planning Portal dashboard. This training is for council staff only.
