Did you know that everyday activities in your garden can have a direct impact on local wetlands, rivers, and waterways?

Join us for How to Protect Wetlands from Your Own Backyard, a one-hour interactive workshop exploring simple actions you can take at home to help protect our natural environment. Learn how to use fertilisers responsibly, reduce nutrient runoff, and prevent algal blooms that can harm wetlands, rivers, and wildlife.

The workshop also covers key messages from the Clean Drains, River Gains program, including how stormwater travels from our streets and drains directly into local waterways.

This informative session will provide practical tips to help you:

Use fertilisers more effectively and responsibly
Reduce nutrient pollution entering waterways
Understand the connection between stormwater drains and local wetlands
Protect local biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems
Make a positive environmental impact from your own backyard

Suitable for residents, gardeners, community groups, and anyone interested in protecting our local waterways and natural environment. 🌿💧
