How to raise funds through your crowd
Event description
We’ve distilled our experience supporting over 1,700 founders and doers to successfully raise into a practical four hour workshop. You’ll come away with a practical understanding of how to raise and a draft plan. We'll then catch up with you as a group a fortnight later to check in on your progress.
OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the funding landscape, and where crowdfunding fits
- Figure out what funding your business needs to grow
- Learn more about cashflow & setting your businesses growth plan
- Dive into rewards based & equity based crowdfunding characteristics & examples
- Learn about the 3 C’s of a good Crowdfund
EXERCISES:
- Review example campaigns and discuss what you like/don’t like
- Determine type of crowdfunding that would work for your company
- Create a Raise Canvas
- Pitch your Raise Canvas for feedback from crowd
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Confident on what a good crowdfunding campaign looks like
- Understand the different types of crowdfunding, & what might work for them
- Clear Raise Plan and early feedback
WORKSHOP FACILITATOR | Anna Guenther (Crowdfunding expert from PledgeMe)
Anna has supported hundreds of founders and doers directly to raise the funds they need to grow their businesses, and has crowdfunded her own businesses and projects many times as well. She'll share her personal experience raising funds, as well as the stories of others who have been there and done that with clear tips, feedback, and expertise. She'll be joined briefly by another crowdfunding alumni as well to share their tips too.
