How to set up and manage a project for success
Event description
Why you should attend this session
Place projects are complex and challenging.
According to studies, some 60–90% of strategic plans never fully launch. The causes of derailment vary widely. While poor implementation is one key reason, the strategy preparation and design process itself can be the real problem, according to the Harvard Business Review.
This session and the online course provide principles, ideas and approaches for place-based projects, plus practical, street-level secrets from practitioners with decades of experience.
What will it help you with
- Some of the key skills needed
- The conventional masterplanning approach compared with the agile, iterative 'Strategic Doing' approach
- Key project management concepts, such as: time, cost, quality and scope
- Common place project mistakes to avoid
