You can feel it, something (maybe a lot of things) have changed over the past 6-12 months.

You're using AI because you've been asked to, or you have to now. You've love solving problems using code and being in the flow to get things done. It feels hard to let this go.

But the job of an engineer is genuinely changing and engineers will bring value to the parts of the software development process. It's not just about the code - it's about the business, the customers, the problems you're solving.

Topics to discuss:

why being told to use AI makes you feel the way it does
what's actually changing about our craft, and what it means for your work
what does it means to stay valuable as AI gets better and better
what you need to do to protect and grow your career
