Meet Sarah

Dr. Sarah Jaquette Ray works at the intersection of social justice and climate emotions. Sarah is the author of The Ecological Other: Environmental Exclusion in American Culture (Arizona, 2013 and A Field Guide to Climate Anxiety: How to
Keep Your Cool on a Warming Planet (California, 2020), which is packed with mental health tools for the “climate generation” . Sarah is also co-editor of four additional collections within the cross section of mental health, humanities, decolonizing theory and climate justice.  Sarah is also a certified mindfulness teacher through the UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center.
