How to Tell (your child they're donor conceived)
Event description
How to Tell is a full day seminar that arms recipient parents with the tools and confidence to have the conversation about donor conception with their donor conceived children sooner rather than later.
You'll learn about why its important to tell your child about their donor conception and genetic story early, based on the research and what history has told us, as well as the actual How-To. And its not just about starting the conversation; its also about continuing it in age appropriate ways as your children grow up so we're including strategies for strengthening family bonds and communication. Visit our website for the seminar program.
The day includes morning tea and lunch with break out sessions and panel discussions so there will be plenty of interaction.
Our mini expo will give you a chance to explore some other support services available in the donor conception community too and our book store
The seminar will be streamed live so you can attend even if you're not in Melbourne, and you'll have access to the content for 1 week after the event.

Please note, we are not able to provide child-minding facilities so this event is not suitable for children to attend other than babes in arms who are breast fed.
