This course is now complete however, students are able to access the recordings, the workbook, and the notes to expertly guide them in the preparation of their Essay Writing Skills. In addition, students have the opportunity to write a response and have this marked by Yang.  Here is the question:

Evaluate the role of leadership in 'Animal Farm' and its greater implications on society.  (20 marks)

3 days of intensive preparation online and live with Yang Sun on Essay Writing Skills.

This course is suitable for Year 9 students who are currently studying the set work 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell.


Over the three days you will cover:

Session 1: Understanding Orwell's context and narrative style

Session 2: How To Plan an Essay and the Structure of an Essay

Session 3: Examination Techniques and Practice Essay

Online Sessions on Sunday 28th, Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th May 2023 - 2 hours per day 

5 pm - 7 pm each day.

All sessions are recorded so if you are not able to make one or more of the sessions, we will send you the recording to watch in your own time preferably before the start of the next session. 

ABOUT Yang Sun

An outstanding, sought-after English Teacher with decades of experience. 

Yang is an experienced English teacher with more than ten years of classroom expertise. She previously worked at Moriah College where they ranked 3rd in the state for English in 2017 and 9th in the state in 2018. 

Previously, she was Assistant Head of English, Debating and Public Speaking Coordinator and the Literacy and Digital Coordinator. 

Yang has a Bachelor of Secondary Education/Bachelor of Arts (English/History) and is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Creative Writing at the University of Sydney. 

The knowledge she will share over this intensive course will inspire and give a huge advantage to Year 9's for any upcoming assessments on Essay Writing this year and for the years ahead.
