How we engage with LGBTQIA+ International Students
Description
LGBTQIA+ international students are an important yet often overlooked part of Victoria’s international student community. While Victoria has made strong commitments to multicultural inclusion and LGBTQIA+ equality, many LGBTQIA+ students continue to face complex and intersecting barriers when accessing services, navigating institutions, and finding safe spaces for belonging.
This workshop explores simple and meaningful ways to make our student support services more accessible, culturally responsive, and relevant to LGBTQIA+ international students.
This session is suitable for professionals working in international student services and will be led by Our Point 3, a specialist not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA+ international students and alumni.
