Series Overview
Are you ready to transform your organization’s culture to one that is inclusive, growth-oriented, and empowering for your employees? Join The Center’s seven-session training series to develop the foundational skills and knowledge needed. All sessions are facilitated synchronously via Zoom.
Program Objectives
- Develop key frameworks for a healthy and inclusive workplace
- Learn strategies to create and reinforce organizational agreements, foster constructive feedback, and promote accountability.
- Apply
training tools directly to your organization’s needs
- Tackle real-time organizational challenges with hands-on practice and practical applications.
- Engage with a professional learning community
- Join a network of HR individuals committed to continuous learning and collaboration.
Program Outline
This program includes seven sessions. Sessions will be held once a month (15 PDCs total). Completion of all five sessions grants the attendee a certificate. The topics, descriptions, and dates/times are as follows:
Session 1: Accountability Part I (3 PDCs) | April 18 (9am-12pmPDT)
- Explore and define accountability
- Reflect on your personal relationship to accountability
- Learn the foundational, Five Tenets of Healthy Accountability
- Identify common ways we avoid accountability
- Develop strategies for taking responsibility
Session 2: Accountability Part II (3 PDCs) | May 23 (9am-12pmPDT)
- Review definitions of accountability and Five Tenets
- Learn how to hold others accountable
- Unpack interpersonal accountability
- Collaboratively practice relevant accountability strategies
Session 3: Feedback Tools (3 PDCs) | June 27 (9am-12pmPDT)
- Discover how feedback shapes personal and organizational growth
- Explore your relationship to feedback
- Examine your organization’s relationship to feedback
- Utilize a feedback framework for giving and receiving feedback
- Apply the Noticing & Wondering framework with a relevant case study
Session 4: Culturally Responsive Supervision (3 PDCs) | July 25 (9am-12pmPDT)
- Understand the impact of culturally responsive supervision in diverse workplaces.
- Adapt supervision strategies to embrace cultural differences and promote inclusivity.
- Strengthen communication skills for cross-cultural interactions.
- Recognize and mitigate biases that affect supervision.
- Build trust and rapport in diverse supervisory relationships.
Session 5: Establishing Common DEI Language (3 PDCs) | August 22 (9am-12pmPDT)
- Association brainstorm and working definitions for foundational DEI language
- Equity vs. Equality
- Learn about the importance of establishing and using common language at your organization
