Chronic kidney disease is a major health issue in the Northern Territory (NT), particularly amongst First Nations Australians living in remote areas. Territory Kidney Care is a digital health tool designed to improve early detection and management of chronic kidney disease. The tool was developed and implemented in partnership with NT government health services and Aboriginal community controlled health organisations. We evaluated the cost-eﬀectiveness of this tool using a Markov model developed using NT data. This webinar outlines the methods and results of this economic evaluation.

Dr Winnie Chen is a clinician-researcher and health economist. Winnie completed her PhD in 2024. Her main interest in health economics is in conducting trial-based and modelled economic evaluations. She works at the University of Sydney as a health economics research fellow, and Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin as a senior research fellow conducting chronic disease research. Winnie works clinically as a GP at an Aboriginal Medical Service. She also teaches medical students at Flinders NT. Previously, she worked as a medical editor (Medical Journal of Australia) and clinical guidelines editor (Northern Territory Primary Health Network).
