Make & Graze: All Ages Timber Cheeseboard Workshop
Event description
This workshop is part of the annual Milton Mollymook Makers & Creators Festival.
Join us for a creative, hands-on workshop where you’ll craft your own unique cheeseboard immersed in nature at Little Forest Farm. Guided by local artisan and SALT ambassador Rosa Hollows, you’ll learn to cut, shape, and finish your piece, then relax and enjoy generous shared grazing platters while soaking up stunning rural South Coast views. It’s a fun, skill-building experience in a beautiful, relaxed setting.
🛠️ Note: A second session of this workshop is being held in the afternoon for adults only. If you’re looking for a relaxed, big kids version of this experience, check out the Adults Workshop – "Make & Graze: Timber Cheeseboard Workshop", also held on Saturday 27 September from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
What We'll Do:
This workshop is designed for everyone – from absolute beginners to those with woodworking experience.
Meet Rosa Hollows of Hollows & Grain, a skilled carpenter and your guide for the day, who will introduce you to the tools, techniques and joy of working with timber.
Create your own timber cheeseboard from scratch.
Learn how to measure, cut, and assemble using tools like tape measures, set squares, handsaws, drop saws, jigsaws, drills, impact drivers, hammers, nail punches and more.
Be shown the safe and correct use of all tools, with support throughout.
Gain confidence and introductory skills in woodworking.
Enjoy a shared nutritious and delicious sweet + savoury grazing platter.
Take in the peaceful views, meet our miniature horses and ducks, warm up by the fire if it’s cool, or enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool if the sun’s out.
