National Multicultural Children's - Health Focus Roundtable
Description
National Multicultural Children's Scoping Project - Health Focus Roundtable
Are you a health, allied health or community or multicultural sector worker?
Do you want to have a say on how we can improve experiences and outcomes for multicultural children and families?
If so, we welcome your attendance at the National Multicultural Children Scoping Project - Health Focus Roundtable
About the Health Focus Roundtable
The Health Focus Roundtable will bring together health, allied health, community and multicultural sector representatives to explore the experiences and needs of multicultural children 0-12 years old and their families in accessing health and wellbeing services across Australia.
The roundtable will provide an opportunity to share insights, identify key barriers and gaps, and explore opportunities to strengthen culturally responsive, accessible and child-centred approaches to health and wellbeing.
The insights gathered through the roundtable will contribute to the National Multicultural Children’s Scoping Project, helping inform an options paper and identify opportunities to better support the health, wellbeing and participation of multicultural children and their families across Australia.
Despite making up a significant and growing part of Australia’s population, multicultural children are often underrepresented in policy discussions, research, data collection, service design and advocacy. SSI, in partnership with the Investment Dialogues for Australia’s Children, is undertaking a national consultation to better understand the needs, strengths and aspirations of multicultural children and families.
