• Do I need to register?

  Registration is encouraged but not essential. Drop-ins are welcome. Registering helps us plan and ensures you receive the free sausage sizzle and soft drink.

• When and where is the event?

  Saturday 10 October 2026, 12.00–3.00 pm, starting and finishing at Fawkner Park Community Centre, South Yarra. From there, you can relax, meet neighbours and explore the park.

• Do I need to bring food?

  Yes. Bring your own picnic and anything else you would like to eat or drink. Registered guests can also enjoy a free sausage sizzle and soft drink.

• What activities will be available?

  There will be a mix of relaxed activities including Fawkner Park Tree Talks, walks and Community Gardening and Urban Bloom. Activities are subject to final confirmation.

• Who is the event for?

  Everyone in the neighbourhood is welcome. Come on your own, with friends or family, meet local people and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in Fawkner Park.

• Can I bring my dog?

  Absolutely. Dogs are welcome in Fawkner Park on a lead. Please keep them close and considerate of other park users.

• Will photographs be taken?

  We’ll take some photographs during the event to capture the day and share the community spirit through Community 3004 and Fawkner Park Friends communications. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, simply let our Welcome Team know when you arrive and we’ll respect your preference.
