Snip & Snap: Stop motion with collage workshop!

Snip & Snap is back for Sydney Craft Week! I’m very happy to announce a brand-new

stop-motion animation workshop, this time, with collaging.

Firstly, you will snip your collage pieces out and place them together, then you will snap

your animation frame by frame with your phone to create your very own stop motion

video, complete with sound effects.

No fancy equipment or experience needed. Whether you've never made anything before

or you're a seasoned creative looking to try something new and tactile, this workshop is

designed to be fun and accessible.Here's what to expect:

• A quick intro to the magic of stop motion and collaging

• An over view of apps we can use for editing and adding audio effects

• Hands-on time cutting, collaging, and animating

• Learning to edit out videos and add sound effects

• A finished short video to take home and share

Feel free to bring a character design you already have, or collage pieces precut. There

will be some precut pieces ready to use too.

The workshop is run by jda, a mixed media artist working in animation and digital art.

Passionate about making creative practice accessible and connecting with others, jda

brings a hands-on, playful approach to the workshop, sharing the tools and techniques

she uses in her own work to help you discover a new skill and just have a good time.
