8 Mile Yacht Club Presents: Christmas in July - A Midwinter Night's Gleam!

After a long, unplanned break and finally making a splash at Rabbits Eat Lettuce 25', the 8 Mile Yacht Club is back in port with our new vessel Wendy!

We're dropping anchor in our beloved home waters of West End for a midwinter celebration that defies the calendar... it's CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Our chimney is stuffed with gifts from the finest local talent spanning the Northern Rivers to Brisbane.

And it’s not complete without a FESTIVUS MIRACLE!

The legendary grandmothers Trudy Swing and Cheryl Bass will take the helm of Wendy, serving up their famous Christmas Pudding (complete with custard, cream AND ice cream!) before jetting off to support their superstar grandsons Moody and Chevy on their Canadian tour.

The full lineup of musical gift givers will be unwrapped later… so dive into our stockings, have a dig under the tree – this yuletide bash will be a Christmas cracker!

Thanks to our mates at the Vultures Nest… they've got the perfect local hideaway to Keep West End Weird. The lights are blinkin', we're thinkin', it's not over while West End's twinklin'!

Tickets will fly faster than Santa's sleigh, and we have a strict capacity limit. Your support keeps local talent thriving and alternative venues and grassroots culture alive.

Our events have a strict no-naughty policy: we create safe, inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome – anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. BYO but NO glass permitted.
