Description

Todd Hannigan Composer, Musician, Vocalist, Sound Designer [Ojai]

In his film scores, Emmy award winner Todd Hannigan weaves together the art of sound and the rhythms of nature to inspire environmental awareness and conservation.

He is known for his soundtracks for the Malloy Brothers on acclaimed surf films Thicker Than Water, The September Sessions, and the Big Easy Express, a travel story about folk/rock bands Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Old Crow Medicine Show.

Xoco Moraza and Todd Hannigan perform as Olas Perdidas, or "lost waves,' referring to the fragility of the ocean and the musical traditions they are committed to preserving.

Xocoyotzin Moraza "Xoco" Ethnomusicologist, Vocalist, Musician [Ventura]

Xoco is part of the Ventura-based Moraza family of Son Jarocho musicians and is revered for his mastery of the Requinto Jarocho and the jarana jarocha.

His wide range of musical interests and technical skills have led to crossover collaborations with rock, reggae, rap and folk artists, sharing stage and studio with Damian and Ziggy Marley, Incubus, Modest Mouse, Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, Ozomatli and others.

As Olas Perdidas, Xoco and Todd Hannigan blend acoustic traditions to form their very own "Mexican Coastal Folk" sound.
