Why we're Lifting the Load

The Tweed Seagulls and supporters are hitting the road on foot Friday November 7th to walk from Seagulls Club to the stadium of our affiliate team the Titans at Cbus Stadium. It’s a long trek but we need to make some noise for the boys. Please join the team and join us on this trek.

Mental health issues are a heavy burden that many young men carry every day, often feeling like a weight that never lightens. This burden makes each step a struggle, impacting their daily lives and futures. We will carry 10kg for 50km throughout the month with our final 25km being in one hit from the Tweed to the GC. We want to help share the burden of the mental health challenges faced by young males.

With one in two males facing a mental health disorder in their lifetime and most issues arising before age 24, it's clear that we need to act now. The stark reality is that 75% of suicides are male.

All money raised will support Top Blokes, a youth mental health charity that helps boys and young men improve their mental health and build stronger connections with the people around them. If you'd like to support this team and cause, please make a donation.
