Putting Diverse Knowledge Systems into Practice: An Ongoing Exploration into the Art of Peacebuilding at the UN and Beyond

UPEACE NY and Amplifier Art will host a very special Side Event called "Putting Diverse Knowledge Systems into Practice: An Ongoing Exploration into the Art of Peacebuilding at the UN and Beyond", on October 8th, 2026 at the Baha'i International Community United Nations Representative Offices.

This event will take place during a time in which the United Nations is adapting its leadership and institutional processes to address the urgent issues challenging the prospects of peace today.  At a moment in history where the word "peace" and its interpretations continue to be co-opted by dangerous agendas, or dismissed as naive aspirations for a utopia, UPEACE NY and Amplifier Art host this second event in a series of three focusing on the art of peacebuilding, creating space to reflect on how to ensure underrepresented knowledge systems are put into practice for moving the institutions of peace forward in a way that promotes an understanding of peace as a practice in pursuit of human rights, compassion and justice.
