The light of the stars SUPPER CLUB
Description
Western Sydney Creative warmly invites you to our The light of the stars SUPPER CLUB - 17 September 5-9pm
Join us for an evening of connection, conversation and community.
The Supper Club offers guests the opportunity to share dinner while enjoying music performances, hands on activities and thought-provoking conversations centered on exhibition The light of the stars - 2026 Western Sydney Creative Artists Commission.
The light of the stars premieres the collaborative practice of Sitara Tanglaw (Marikit Santiago and L-FRESH The LION), two Western Sydney artists whose practices are grounded in the lived experiences of the Filipino and Punjabi diasporic communities. Through painting, sound, storytelling and installation, they explore how cultural inheritance, faith and resilience are carried across generations and reimagined in contemporary Australia.
Moving between the personal and the collective, the sacred and the everyday, the exhibition offers a space for reflection on identity, belonging and aspiration. It celebrates the many lights that help shape our journeys and reminds us that guidance can emerge from unexpected places, transforming ordinary lives into extraordinary examples of possibility.
The draft program for the evening is:
5-6pm: Viewing exhibition and participation in Ultra Rare trading Cards activity
6pm: Introductions
6;05pm: Welcome to country
6;15pm Panel discussion on what does success and failure looking like in the arts?
