Join the Australian Friends of the Hebrew University for a special evening of celebration in honour of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's centenary.
Together with distinguished guests from Israel and Australia, we will mark this momentous milestone of the State of Israel’s pre-eminent university.
Professor Menahem Ben-Sasson, Chancellor and former President of the Hebrew University will deliver a key-note address. A distinguished academic and public figure, Professor Ben-Sasson brings decades of leadership across higher education, politics, and Jewish scholarship including a stint as Chairperson of the Knesset’s Constitutional Committee.
Journalist and author Sharri Markson, will be awarded the Scopus Award in recognition of her unwavering commitment to Israel and to the Jewish Community. The Scopus Award is the Hebrew University’s highest honour, recognising exceptional individuals who support education and the State of Israel. This will be the first time the award is presented to an Australian.
The event will also include a panel discussion facilitated by Leon Kempler AM, respected community leader and advocate for Australian-Israeli relations. The discussion will include Professor Ben Sasson along with two prominent Hebrew University Alumni- Ohad Blumberg and Noam Pilpel,

Booking is essential.
Tickets are $36 per person, light refreshments will be served.

This event will raise funds towards Israel's first Centre for Computational Medicine (harnessing AI and conventional medicine) at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
