Hub Fest Satellite: Writing your script is a free one-day script writing workshop held at our satellite venue Gang Gang Gallery.
If you have ever thought about creating your own play, this workshop gets you writing. Lachlan will offer practical exercises that will equip you with the tools that help build strong characters, engaging plot, cracking dialogue, driving action all based on a strong spine of an idea. After a day spent working with Lachlan in the rich surrounds of Gang Gang Gallery, you should leave with a strong sense of the steps you need to take to create a unique and dynamic script.
Lachlan Philpott is an award-winning playwright whose work is published with Currency, Playlab and Bloomsbury. He is also a teacher and dramaturg. Lachlan's plays have been performed in many countries around the world and a translation of his play "Truck Stop" will be produced by La Comedie Francais, Paris in 2026.
A light morning tea will be provided as part of this event.
