Event description

Featuring Reena Esmail's Malhaar: A Requiem for Water; a soulful plea to treasure and preserve the source of all life.  It brilliantly integrates Hindustani and Western classical music themes.

Also presenting Carols and Lullabies (Christmas in the Southwest), a lively suite of songs gathered and adapted by Conrad Susa in 1993 from a variety of Spanish traditions, including Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Catalonia.  Accompanied by guitar, harp and marimba.
