🎬 About Human Forever

24-year-old care innovator Teun Toebes has a mission: to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia.

After spending years living in a closed dementia ward, Teun takes his mission global. Together with filmmaker Jonathan de Jong, he travels through 11 countries across 4 continents, exploring how dementia is understood and approached around the world — and what we can learn to create a more inclusive future.

Human Forever is a moving and thought-provoking film that challenges us to look differently at dementia, care, community and the way we value people living with dementia.

Please note: The film is in Dutch with English subtitles.

All funds raised from this event will go directly to Alzheimer’s Otago, helping them to:

  • 💜 Support hundreds of local families living with dementia

  • 🤝 Provide one-on-one consultations and education programmes

  • 🧠 Run social and cognitive activities for people living with dementia

  • 🌿 Continue building dementia-friendly communities across Otago

  • 📚 Raise awareness and understanding of dementia

  • ❤️ Continue providing connection, support and practical help to those who need it.

A very special Thank you to Queenstown Country Club / Arvida for generously hosting this film event for us, at no cost.
