Human Library Canberra Book recruitment
Event description
Human Library Canberra draws from a global initiative aimed at challenging stereotypes and encouraging open dialogue. In this unique library, people are the “books” sharing their personal stories with "readers". As a Human Book your position will be to provide members of the public with the opportunity to sit down one-on-one, engage and connect. Your story will be a genuine conversation with the reader, with the support of our library volunteers who will facilitate a respectful and safe environment.
Human Library Canberra is now seeking to recruit 'books'. We will later be recruiting for library volunteers before finally launching the event tickets for 'readers'.
Your application to be a human book will be considered, please state your story topic at the checkout questions. To ensure all books will fit in the library we will firstly call and then interview for suitability.
